About the Product
Fablele is a platform for creating personalized, illustrated stories. It allows you to create unique tales with your own characters - children's stories, adult fiction, gift stories, or your own creative projects. Each story is fully illustrated, ready to read or share, and can be read aloud — in your own voice or by a built-in narrator.
Fablele is for anyone who wants to create personalized stories. Parents create bedtime stories for children, teachers create educational materials, and creators produce unique stories for adult audiences. You can also create a story as an original gift for someone special. New users can immediately use ready-made templates and characters - no need to start from scratch.
You create characters, pick a ready template or describe your own plot, and set the illustration style and tone in settings. The system generates text and illustrations matched to your guidance. The whole process takes a few minutes and the result is a finished, illustrated story.
You can create adventure, educational, fantasy, romantic, humorous stories and many more. Each story is adapted to the selected age range - from bedtime stories for toddlers to stories for adults. You decide on the tone, style, and theme.
How It Works
No. Fablele offers two ways to create stories. Ready-made templates are proven, human-written tales where you simply substitute your own characters — fast and predictable. AI generation gives you full personalization: you describe the plot and the system creates a unique story.
In both cases, illustrations are generated automatically in your chosen artistic style.
Templates are pre-made plots with defined roles (e.g., Hero, Helper, Mentor). You choose a template, assign your characters to the roles, and the system creates a story with your heroes. It's the fastest way to create a story - no waiting for text generation.
Template offers:
Ready-made, proven plot
Fast creation (illustrations only)
Predictable results - ideal for quick stories
AI story provides:
Unique plot based on your description
Full generation (text + illustrations)
Surprising, creative results - ideal when you have a specific vision
Templates are created by the Fablele team in collaboration with authors. Each template undergoes quality and consistency verification. We have templates for different age groups and themes - from children's stories to adult fiction.
Comparison with Alternatives
Fablele is a complete story creation tool, not just a chatbot. Every page gets a professional illustration in a consistent style, and your characters are remembered across stories — so everything stays coherent.
Ready-made templates let you create proven stories without the risk of unpredictable results, and you keep full control over tone, style, and theme. The result comes as a ready-to-read booklet, not a wall of text — and you can listen to it, read aloud in your own voice.
Fablele combines the flexibility of personalization with the quality of proven content. You can choose a ready template or create your own plot. Your characters are saved - you build your own story library. Illustrations are generated in a consistent artistic style that you choose, and every story can be read aloud in your own voice.
You can, but it requires more work:
You must maintain content consistency yourself
No illustrations or the need to generate them separately
No character consistency between stories
Each session starts from scratch
Fablele automates these issues and ensures consistent, illustrated stories.
Fablele doesn't replace traditional literature - it's a supplement. Templates are written by humans, so their quality is comparable to traditional stories. AI-generated stories are unique and personalized - you can create something you won't find in any book. The best strategy is to combine both.
Safety and Privacy
Yes. You have full control over the content — you choose the age range and tone of every story, and all templates are reviewed by humans before publication. The system respects your style and theme guidelines, and for children's stories an automatic safeguard against inappropriate content kicks in on top of that.
Your privacy is our priority:
Stories are private by default (visible only to you)
Data is stored securely with encryption
You can download or delete all your data at any time
We don't sell your data, and we don't let AI providers train their models on it
We share data only with the providers the service can't run without (e.g. hosting, illustration generation, speech synthesis) — the full list is in the Privacy Policy
Yes, by default all stories are private. Only you have access to them. You can choose which stories to share - then they become accessible via a link to anyone you share it with.
Access depends on your settings:
Private stories - only you (account owner)
Public stories - anyone with the link
Fablele team - we don't review your stories unless you report a problem
Yes, you have full control. In settings, you define:
Target audience age range (from toddler stories to adult content)
Story tone (friendly, serious, humorous, romantic...)
Artistic style of illustrations
Values and themes
The system adapts generated content to your guidelines.
AI transparency and labelling
Yes. Every story shows how it was made — on the title screen, in the reader and in the file you download. On top of that, each illustration carries an embedded record of its origin that independent verification tools can read.
If a story came from a ready-made template, the disclosure says so: the template text was written by a person, the illustrations were created with AI.
Download the illustration and upload it to contentcredentials.org/verify — an independent tool we don't control. You'll see a record stating the image came from a generative model, along with a digital signature confirming the record hasn't been tampered with.
Illustrations also carry an invisible watermark woven into the pixels themselves. It survives resizing and compression, but only the model provider can read it.
In the PDF and the text document — yes. The information about how the story was made is part of the document, not just the app view.
For individual illustrations it varies: the origin record stays when you send the file as-is, but some services and messengers strip that data when they process images. The invisible pixel watermark is more resilient and usually survives.
The characters and the plot idea come from you — and you decide what to do with the finished story. You may use it to the extent the law allows; the Terms of Service (§ 9) set out the details.
Two things are worth knowing: content produced by generative models may not be protected by copyright, and someone with a similar idea may get a similar result — we don't guarantee your story will be one of a kind.
The disclosure only says what tool the story was made with.
Because it's worth knowing where the story you're reading to your child comes from — and because the law requires it. The EU AI Act obliges makers of tools like ours to mark content produced by generative models in a machine-readable way, and to tell the people using them.
Creativity and Co-creation
Quite the opposite - Fablele supports creativity:
You invent the characters and plots
AI helps transform your ideas into finished stories
You can iterate and experiment without limits
You see your ideas turned into an illustrated book
Fablele is a tool in your hands, not a replacement for creativity.
Yes. You can create educational stories - just specify it in the plot description. Templates include stories with various values (friendship, courage, cooperation). The system adjusts language and complexity to the selected age range.
Generation time depends on the method:
From a template - about 1-2 minutes (only illustration generation)
Full AI generation - about 3-5 minutes (text + illustrations)
Time depends on the number of pages (2-20) and illustration complexity.
The best stories often come from collaboration. You can:
Collect ideas from others for characters and plot
Share finished stories via link
Create stories as a joint project (e.g., parent with child, friends)
Fablele turns shared ideas into a finished book.
Fablele is a creation tool, not a replacement for writing. For some, it's a way to quickly create a personalized story, for others - inspiration or a starting point. You can also use human-written templates and just substitute your characters.
Every illustration can be regenerated with your feedback:
Click "Regenerate with feedback" on any image
Describe what you want to change (e.g., "more vibrant colors", "character should smile")
A new version is created based on your input
All versions are saved - you can browse history and pick your favorite
Experimentation is encouraged - each iteration helps you discover your ideal visual style.
Features
In Account settings → Style & stories you choose the illustration style, the tone and values, and your child's age band. New stories you create use these settings, and you can change them any time.
Creating a character is simple:
1. Go to the Characters tab
2. Click Add character
3. Give a name, personality and appearance
4. The system automatically generates a preview in your chosen illustration style
You can have up to 100 characters and use them across many stories.
You can download all your data (stories, characters and settings) as an export. The Export data feature in account settings prepares a file for download.
Yes — you have full creative control over how your stories look. You describe the art style you prefer (watercolour, cartoon, realistic, anime…) and detailed character descriptions keep everything consistent from page to page. Illustrations automatically adjust to the age of the target audience as well.
If something doesn't feel right, you can regenerate any illustration with your own feedback to refine colours, composition, or details.
Yes. You record two short samples — we show the text to read on screen — and Fablele turns them into a digital model of your voice. From then on, you can listen to any story read in your voice, with the text on screen following along.
If you'd rather not record, pick one of the built-in narrator voices instead.
The more detail you provide, the better your illustrations will look:
Describe physical features - hair color, eye color, clothing style, distinctive traits
Add personality hints that show in expressions and poses
Include favorite colors or accessories that make your character unique
Detailed descriptions help create illustrations that truly match your vision. Don't be afraid to experiment - you can always update the description and regenerate the preview.
Narration and your voice
You can record your voice in Settings → Your voices, or while creating your first story:
Read aloud two short texts we show on screen — each takes about a minute
Record in a quiet room, with your phone close to you
Your voice is usually ready in 1–2 minutes — you'll hear a short sample before you use it
One account can hold up to two voices of your own at a time.
Creating your own voice is free. Narrating a whole story costs 4 credits — whether it's read in your voice or by a narrator. Credits are charged only when the narration is created, not when you choose a voice.
Your recordings are used only to create a model of your voice and read your stories with it:
We keep them in encrypted storage in the European Union, with no public access
The voice model is created by our speech synthesis provider — we send it the recordings and the story text, but never your email address or the name of the voice
Recordings are never used to recognize people or for any other purpose
You can delete a voice at any time in Settings → Your voices — we then delete the recordings and the voice model. Finished narrations stay on your account unless you choose to delete them together with the voice
The Privacy Policy (section 2.7) has the details.
Only if you allow it. A narration in your own voice plays under a story's public link only after you give separate consent for that specific narration — and you can withdraw it at any time. A narration read by a built-in narrator plays under the public link like the rest of the story.
Usually yes — but how close it gets depends on the recording conditions. Samples recorded in a quiet place, in a natural tone, with the phone close to your mouth work best. You'll hear a short sample before you use the voice. If you don't like how it sounds, delete the voice and record it again — it costs nothing.
Yes. Even when a story is read in your voice, the narration itself is generated by a speech synthesis model — it isn't a recording of you reading every page. If you share a narration outside Fablele, don't present it as something a person actually said.
Pricing and Credits
After you register you get starter credits — enough for your first illustrated stories, narration included. Starter credits never expire. Creating characters, story templates and your own voice doesn't use any credits — credits are used only for operations that involve content generation, such as illustrations and narration.
Credits are used for operations that involve content generation. The number of credits per operation is shown before you confirm. One-time credits never expire, and subscription credits accumulate up to twice your monthly allowance. You can see your balance and transaction history in Settings.
You get starter credits upon registration — enough for several illustrated stories and to explore the platform at your own pace. Starter credits never expire, so you can use them whenever you like.
The cost depends on the number of pages — each illustrated page uses credits. Stories can have 5 to 20 pages. Narrating a whole story costs an extra 4 credits. You always see the total cost before starting generation.
Currently Fablele supports:

English - full interface, generation and narration support
You can create stories in either language. Templates are available in both language versions.
